9 Mauritians treated in less than 72 hours at Fortis Clinique Darné Dr. Aparna Jaswal (photo), Senior Consultant Electrophysiologist at the Fortis Escorts Heart Institute & Research Centre in New Delhi has completed over thirty consultations and performed ten procedures, treating patients with heart failure as well as patients with heart rhythm abnormalities, focusing on implantable heart devices within three days.

Dr. Jaswal now has to her credit 34 successful cases on Mauritian patients. These procedures remain unique on the island. Over her previous visits, Dr. Jaswal has helped ensure a better quality of life for numerous Mauritians in the comfort of their own country.

She states “These device implants will help patients lead a longer and better quality of life, especially for the ones requiring repeated hospital admissions due to heart failure. It has been a very rewarding experience to be able to help some the Mauritian patients in their country itself”.

Dr. Aparna Jaswal was on her fourth visit to Fortis Clinique Darné last week and will be at Fortis Clinique Darné for consultations again later this year in October 2012.
