Prepay

If you are a Prepay customer, you can use your mobile phone when abroad for calling or receiving calls, sending SMS or even checking your e-mails. We have greatly simplified how you use your Prepay abroad: from making calls, sending SMS, recharging your SIM to checking your balance, you use your mobile exactly as you would in Mauritius.

Roaming is activated by default for all Prepay customers and you only need to ensure that you have enough credit before your leave.

As from 1st of May 2013, Orange has come up with a simplified plan for your Prepay calling tariffs while you are on roaming:

Note :

(I) To avoid unnecessary data roaming charges, you are advised to deactivate your data roaming on your Blackberry , Iphones and smartphone phones.Many devices/phones transmit and receive data messages without user intervention and can generate unexpected charges when powered "on" outside Mauritius.

(II) Your domestic data rate plan (limited or unlimited) does not apply while on roaming.

All above tariffs are VAT inclusive.

Tariffs are charged per minute only irrespective of network chosen abroad.

Voice mail on roaming are charged as incoming calls. Access to Voice mail are charged as outgoing calls to Mauritius.

The minimum charge for data is 10 kb. Any upload or download of less than 10 kb, will be billed at the minimum charge and afterwards, data rates will be applied in steps of 10 kb .

N.B.: Satellite calls from all zones charged at Rs 1 000 per minute, VAT inclusive.
